Honeybuzz Bakehouse Cherry Brownie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 c. dried tart cherries, chopped

1/2 c. 2020 Por Vida (or a fruity red wine of your choice)

3/4 c. butter

4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, chopped

2 c. sugar

3 eggs

1 t. vanilla

1 c. all-purpose flour

1/2 t. baking powder

1/4 t. baking soda

1/4 t. salt

 

Recipe:

In a small saucepan, combine dried cherries & wine. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease and flour a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

In a medium saucepan, cook and stir butter and chocolate over low heat until melted. Gradually whisk in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat.

Add eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each egg. Stir in vanilla.

In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir flour mixture into chocolate mixture. Stir in undrained cherries.

Spread batter evenly into pan. Bake 40 minutes, or until edges start to pull away from pan sides.

Cool pan on wire rack. Let stand 2 hours or until set.

Cut into about 20 brownies and enjoy with our 2015 Azúcar - Late Harvest Primitivio!
